Food was realy good / great breakfasts/ good dinners . staff friendly prices ok
Pillows a little harsh- premier inns still have best pillows in the world lol . other guests a little inconsiderate at 6 am
The location suited us.
The hotel room was small, the walls were extremely thin, you could hear everything from the next room. No privacy in this case. The bed was very rickety and disturbed your sleep every time you turned over. Not a pleasant experience at all and I will not be returning or recommending. It should not be graded as a 4 star. This is incorrect.
Good food nice room nice people excellent location for country and seaside
Sun blind in room was broken so could not see out.
The staff were lovely- very welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was lovely. The bar area was small and cosy. The room was gorgeous and the bathroom was bigger than expected!! And the origami towels were a lovely and unusual touch. It seemed such a shame to use them!!!!
Unfortunately the walls were very thin so everything could be heard!! Every time a door closed it woke us. And our room was directly above the games room so we could hear people playing pool that night which meant we couldn't sleep. It wasn't just mumblings we could hear. Every time a ball was hit we could hear it!!
the staff was extertemly friendly 5 on 5 for them.
it says 4* but i frankly think it is 3*
My wife and I stayed overnight on our way to Whitby and I would thoroughly recommend the Beansheaf. We had a comfortable room, dinner was very good, as was the breakfast. The Staff were lovely.
staff was very friendly, food was good but the menu choice was quite limited, unless you liked burgers.
Thought that the room rates were too high for the standard of the hotel, our room had stained bed cover, very poor wardrobe space and no drawer space, no soundproofing, walls very thin, could hear all going on in room next door and even across the hall, also very noisy on a night with people coming and going.
The jazz night and the wondeerful food it was lovely. we loved the towels, chocs and j2o
Easy to find after long drive after full days work.
Bathroom should be cleaner/shaver socket didn't appear to work/some sewer smells outside in the early morning.
The staff were very accomodating to our requests, for example kept the bar open later than normal as we did not arrive back at the hotel until after 11pm, also provided sandwiches for our return and booked a taxi on our behalf.
The Food was excellent and liked free wi fi access
The special touches, ie complimentary handmade chocs, orange in place of water in the room.
Being in the area on business the hotel ticked all the boxes for what I required.Clean ,comfortable, good food and internet access at no extra charge
The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, and the meals were excellent
pleasant staff food very good and ample portions, extra touches in the bedroom and relaxing atmosphere
